Issue

You get the following error while trying to install Elementor: Destination folder already exists

This means that your Plugins folder already contains a folder for Elementor (or Elementor Pro) and you cannot upload it again.

Possible cause

The folder of the plugin can exist on a system and might not work for reasons such as:

• Failed update which removes part of the files from the folder. So, it is no longer detected as a plugin in your WordPress plugins list. 
• If during deletion of the plugin the folder could not be deleted.

Solutions

To resolve this issue, log in to your FTP and under wp-content/plugins, delete the relevant folder. After this, you should be able to upload the plugin from scratch in your WP dashboard.
